What: Bowl For Kids’ Sake
2009, the biggest charitable bowl-a-thon in the region.
When: Sunday, March 1, 2009; 9
a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Snow date: Sunday, March 8, 2009.)

Why: To support mentoring
programs that match a caring, responsible adult with a child looking for a
role model and friend.
How to get involved
You can support a match by
Starting a team as a Team Captain and forming a team five bowlers. You can
invite anyone to join your team—friends, family, or co-workers. All teams
must have a Team Captain. Encourage your co-workers to also become Team
Captains; challenge them in fundraising and at the alley.
Joining a team as a bowler. Bowling for kids’ sake is what this event is all
about! Encourage friends and family to contribute to your efforts in
supporting youth mentoring in your neighborhood.
Joining as an individual. If you do not have a team and just want to be part
of the campaign, you can join in the fun of Bowl For Kids’ Sake as a
fundraiser.
Each bowler is required to pledge a minimum of $85 for a team fundraising
total of $425. A minimum of $5 per sponsor pledge is recommended.
How to register and start fundraising
Register online
Using our special BFKS Kintera Web site, you and your teammates can quickly
and easily register as participants. From step one, you will be walked
through the process of setting up your own fundraising Headquarters! Your
site allows you to send e-mails asking for support with pre-existing
templates, and automatically keep track of how much you have raised.
Friends and family can easily donate online by clicking on “Support a
Bowler†on the event homepage and searching your name. You can also enter
pledges to be paid later in your Headquarters to better track your progress.

Register by phone
If you are using the paper pledge form (included on the inside of this
brochure), please contact Erica Hudock at 610-391-1827 to officially
register your team. We also have additional pledge sheets available for
those who find many sponsors!
All Teams Captains must submit the names of all their bowlers and their
preferred bowling time by Friday, February 20, 2009. Team Captains will then
be notified by a confirmation letter one week prior to the event of the
teams’ time(s) and lane(s) assignments. Lane and time preferences are given
to early registrants.
